CORE JOB SUMMARY:The Investigational Drug Services (IDS) Pharmacist will be responsible for the provision and oversight of pharmacotherapy for research patients. The IDS Pharmacist will work collaboratively with members of the research team. The focus for this position is the support of clinical trial research conducted by the University of Miami.CORE JOB FUNCTIONS:Monitors and supervises the operation of the intravenous admixture program, with a heavy emphasis on the preparation and monitoring of chemotherapeutic and investigational intravenous therapies.Ensures the accurate and efficient preparation and delivery of injectable chemotherapy and other medications for intravenous therapy.Dosage amounts and intravenous compatibilities are accurately determined.
