Job Summary and Qualifications
Acute Care Nurse (General Surgery)
This is 36 bed high acuity unit that cares for a variety of surgical patients form general surgery, gastrointestinal, head/neck, and vascular. This unit develops nurses to have broad range of knowledge, become experts in post-op, recovery, and master all nursing skills.
The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.
What you will do in this role:

· As Med-Surg RN, you will perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.
· In this role, you will use therapeutic communication in daily practice. Maintains a safe therapeutic environment.
· You will identify nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient.
· You will plan individualized patient care utilizing an interdisciplinary approach.
· You will participate in performance improvement activities.
· You will provide care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital's mission and vision statement.

What qualifications you will need:

· Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing
· Current RN licensure (or eligible)
· 1 year clinical experience preferred
· CPR certificate
