RN (Part Time) - PACE/Elderplace

The part-time RN at Providence PACE/Elderplace supports the community by providing and supervising professional nursing care for patients. This role requires adherence to the Oregon Nurse Practice Act, focusing on patient assessment, care planning, and optimization of health and independence for the elderly. The position entails potentially rotating weekend shifts and emphasizes the importance of comprehensive nursing knowledge and skills tailored to the patient population.
Description
This is a part time position supporting the PACE Cully site on weekdays.
The Community Care RN provides and supervises professional, independent nursing care for Providence patients. Care is based in the nursing process and is consistent with the Oregon Nurse Practice Act. Applies knowledge of assessing, planning, ordering, giving, delegating, teaching and supervising professional nursing care delivery that promotes patients' optimal health and independence. All Providence professional nursing practice requires a broad range of general nursing knowledge and expertise. In addition, development and validation of knowledge and skills essential to the assigned department, patient population and/or practice area are crucial. This position may be required to rotate through a weekend shift.

Required qualifications:
Coursework/Training: Relevant training applicable to the position, as specified by the Nurse Manager
Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire
within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Upon hire: Relevant certifications applicable to the position, as specified by the Nurse Manager
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
1 year of Home health RN experience.

About the Team
Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state footprint.
HCC provides a full range of services and support for people of all ages, especially those facing chronic or life-limiting illnesses.
