Positions Summary:The Senior Application Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement automated solutions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless integration with new and existing processes.Essential Responsibilities:PLC Programming:Developing and maintaining ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagram code for Allen Bradley PLCs using Studio 5000.Designing and implementing control logic for various industrial processes.Troubleshooting PLC code and resolving automation system issues.Ignition Development:Building intuitive operator interface dashboards using Ignition's development tools.Creating custom visualization elements, alarms, and reports within the Ignition

data acquisition and communication protocols to integrate with PLCs and other industrial devices.System Integration:Interfacing PLCs with various industrial sensors, actuators, and peripheral devices.Configuring network communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus) for data exchange between devices.Integrating Ignition with other enterprise systems like MES or ERP for data reporting.Project Management:Participating in project planning, design, and implementation phases.Collaborating with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and other cross-functional teams.Documenting system design, configuration, and user manualsEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum experience - 7 to 8 yearsExtensive experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and Studio 5000 programmingProficiency in Ignition development, including creating custom projects, tags, and scriptingKnowledge of industrial networking protocols like Ethernet/IP, ModbusStrong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial environmentExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilitiesKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Able to read, speak and write English.Ability to use sophisticated computer software programs to achieve job functions.Strong physical and mental health to maintain demanding workload.Able to work under stressful

- phone communication, communication with personnel and vendors.Seeing - able to see the computer screen.Climbing - able to go up, down and over equipment in a safe manner using good judgment and proper safety equipment as required.Position will require a minimum of 40 hours per week with frequent extended hours required based on workload requirements.Position will require (24) twenty-four hours availability, with (7) seven-day weeks when workload requires, with time off scheduled per current workload.Strong work ethics of integrity and honesty striving for excellence in all activities employing accompanying , reliability, fulfilling responsibilities.This job description should not be interpreted as an exhaustive list of responsibilities or as an employment agreement between the employer and employee.
