MRI Technologist

Duties:
Performs MRI procedures to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Positions patients accurately and safely, ensuring the best quality images.
Administers contrast media and ensures patient safety throughout the process.
Performs routine maintenance and quality checks on MRI equipment.
Reviews and verifies images for diagnostic adequacy before sending to PACS.
Follows safety guidelines to protect patients and staff from radiation exposure.
Keeps detailed records of all imaging procedures in the RIS system.
Provides clear explanations of MRI procedures to patients, addressing any questions or concerns.
Participates in departmental quality assurance and training activities.
Ensures MRI suite cleanliness and follows infection control procedures.
Skills:
Proficient in MRI imaging and patient care techniques.
Strong attention to detail in ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
Skilled in operating MRI equipment and troubleshooting technical issues.
Education & Certifications:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
NYS licensure in Radiography and certification to administer contrast media.
ARRT certification in MRI.
BLS certification.
Pay Range:
Weekly: $3,200 - $3,850
