With a focus on transforming the paradigm from waste processing to resource recovery, Sedron Technologies works with municipal, agricultural, and industrial customers to process their "waste" into climate-smart commodities through environmentally and financially sustainable methods. The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Specialist leads the implementation of initiatives and practices aimed at preventing serious incidents, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering employee engagement to maintain a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace. This role collaborates closely with manufacturing, operations, and engineering teams, as well as company leadership and regulatory agencies. The Specialist is also responsible for building successful partnerships to support the implementation of HSE programs and procedures. Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position: Conduct hazard assessments and implement strategies to prevent incidentsFacilitate safety incident reviews and ensure learnings are shared, with a focus on Serious Incident and Fatality (SIF) preventionLead root cause analysis investigations using industry-standard techniques, and collaboratively identify corrective actions with leadershipCollaborate with leadership in the development and implementation of safety and loss prevention frameworks, including policies, standardized programs, training, risk assessments, and program elementsCoach and mentor HSE contacts, engineers, managers, contractors and others involved in safety projects or improvement activitiesEnsure timely closure of corrective actionsAssist with injury case management and provide support for HSE requests from internal and external customersConduct or facilitate industrial health surveys and monitor workplace safety conditionsEffectively communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, tradespeople, and operations staff, to ensure alignment and successful implementation of HSE initiativesArrive to work on time and maintain good attendancePerform other related duties as assigned This position has multiple levels of competency to be determined by performance, certifications, and manager discretion. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
