MRI Technician

Duties:
Conducts MRI imaging on patients based on clinical orders and follows standard imaging protocols.
Ensures patient safety by adhering to MRI safety guidelines and protocols.
Operates MRI machines and performs adjustments to optimize image quality.
Provides patient education on the MRI process, answering any questions or concerns.
Administers contrast agents as per physician instructions and ensures proper safety protocols are followed.
Verifies that all images are of diagnostic quality before submitting to PACS.
Participates in maintaining the MRI equipment, performing regular quality checks, and troubleshooting minor issues.
Assists in maintaining an organized and sterile work environment in the MRI suite.
Tracks and updates patient information in RIS, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborates with the clinical team to ensure quality and efficient care.
Skills:
Expertise in performing MRI scans and managing MRI equipment.
Knowledge of contrast media administration and patient care procedures.
Skilled in the use of RIS, PACS, and MRI-specific software.
Education & Certifications:
Graduate of an accredited Radiography program.
NYS licensure in Radiography and certification for contrast media injection.
ARRT certification in MRI.
BLS certification.
Pay Range:
Weekly: $3,000 - $3,600
