A well-established, AAHA-accredited partner hospital is seeking a

Lead Veterinarian

to join their team in Longview, TX. This full-time position offers a chance to provide high-quality medical care while overseeing a dedicated team of veterinary professionals. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience as an Associate Veterinarian, proficiency in all aspects of veterinary medicine, and a passion for leadership and mentorship.

Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive medical care to animals, including diagnostics, treatment, and surgery.
Oversee the daily operations of the clinic, ensuring smooth workflow and quality patient care.
Lead and manage the veterinary team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to staff.
Develop and implement treatment plans, working closely with clients to ensure the best outcomes for their pets.
Manage the clinic's budget, inventory, and ordering of supplies.
Recruit, hire, and develop staff to maintain an efficient and well-functioning team.
Handle client concerns and resolve complaints with professionalism and empathy.
Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
Serve as the veterinarian of record for required hospital permits and licenses.
Collaborate with hospital leadership to uphold medical quality and ensure continuous improvement.
Qualifications:

DVM/VMD degree from an accredited veterinary college.
2-5 years of experience in veterinary practice, with leadership or management experience preferred.
Proficiency in all areas of veterinary medicine, including surgery and dentistry.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and patient care.
