The role will be a mix of office support of field surveyors and field surveying tasks. This recruitment will establish an employment list to fill current and any future vacancies within the Resource Management Agency. The anticipated life of the employment list is six months. The anticipated life of the list is six months.Typical DutiesLevel I: Perform a variety of land surveying functions for County projects relating to land, hydraulics, road, bridge, soil and similar work; act as a survey party chief or assist survey party chief; perform land surveying calculations; research, plan and conduct field surveys including boundary, control and topographic mapping; prepare technical reports and correspondence; perform construction layout, staking, checks and as-builts; prepare maps, corner records, reports and other documents of collected survey data; review project documents, boundary maps and construction plans for errors, discrepancies and compliance; check survey records, subdivision maps, descriptions and maps of special districts for code compliance; research and compile information from various records, deeds, maps and surveys; read and study technical reports and journals; knowledgeable of local, state and federal laws and standards; maintain organized record of survey data and observation notes; Level II: perform surveying duties of average difficulty on assigned projects; act as party chief for survey crew; Essential job duties may be assigned that are not listed above but are relative to this job classification. Level I: Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering, geomatics engineering or a closely related field. Level II: Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in geomatics engineering or a closely related field.Education Equivalency: Level I: Four (4) years of progressively responsible qualifying experience may be considered in lieu of education on a year for year basis; Level II: Four (4) years of progressively responsible qualifying experience in civil engineering or geomatics engineering may be considered in lieu of education on a year for year basisExperience:
