A Brief Overview
A Tool Technician has a high level of expertise and ability to diagnose and repair a variety of power tools and equipment.
Pay Rate : $25.00 -$28.00 per hour
What you will do
Perform preventative maintenance procedures to production equipment, facility, and forklifts.
Diagnose and perform equipment repairs as issues arise.
Diagnose and perform tool repairs. Such as nail guns, staplers, and power tools.
Follow all policies and procedures (ex. Lock Out/Tag Out).
Perform compliance inspections.Examples
Fire extinguisher inspection
Clear electric boxes and Exits
Perform inside and outside facility maintenanceExamples
Painting , HVAC, Plumbing
Mowing ,weed whipping snow removal
Set up and/or move new and existing equipment.
Manage inventory levels of repair parts.
Stocking production of production materials and fasteners
Clean/ Organize offices, shops, and bathrooms as needed.
Cross train and work on production assembly lines as needed.
Other additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Adheres to Company's commitment to workplace safety.
Education Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience Qualifications
1-3 years of hands-on experience repairing power tools required.
Combination of power tool repair training from a vocational school required.
Skills and Abilities
Good mechanical skills and understanding of schematics and diagrams
Must be computer literate, organized and accurate
Occasional heavy lifting up to 70 lbs.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must have knowledge of threaded mechanical fasteners
Ability to work overtime as needed
