Job Title: Engineering Technician B
Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. May work with complex machines or computer systems. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Responsible to run machinery equipment to support multiple programs.
Able to identify problems and provide solutions to engineering as well as improvements.
Work directly with engineering seeking opportunities.
Clean, setup, and prepare equipment prior to run product.
Perform lab support work as instrument calibration, lab cleaning, inventory, and material handling.
Expert using hand tools including but not limited to screw drivers, torque wrenches, soldering equipment, and epoxy dispensing tools.
Works under limited supervision.
Utilize Microsoft office.
Excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation skills
Knowledge / handling with fiber optics
