This position is located in Woodland, CA and is onsite Monday-Friday.

The Watts Water Technologies family of companies designs and manufactures valves and drains and related products that promote the comfort and safety of people and the quality, conservation and control of water used in commercial, residential, industrial, and municipal applications. Reporting to the VP of HR & Talent Acquisition, the HR Manager will operate as a partner to the Woodland, CA manufacturing facility. You will be a part of the Woodland leadership team, responsible for building employee relationships and delivering people related strategies that lead to an engaging employee experience and success. Responsible for all HR activities to include, but not limited to: associate communications, employment law, new hire onboarding, associate relations, compliance efforts, safety program compliance, talent review and appraisal process. You will foster a workplace culture that exceeds employee expectations and embraces a continuous improvement mindset.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

·Learn Watts– proactively learn this complex and matrixed organization so that relationships are built, and a plan is in place to grow partnerships and achieve results.

·Build the Culture – work with the HR team to determine how teamwork across the business and corporate structure leverages success. Build critical relationships across HR to support the needs of Watts. Evolve to a high performing culture through inclusion, creative debate, accountability, and deepening levels of trust.

·Collaborate with Centers of Excellence to leverage expertise, data analytics, tools, consistency, and compliance in organizational change efforts.

·Execute talent plans to support performance management, talent development and organizational changes.

·Evolve the People / Talent Management Strategy – partner with the leadership team to understand critical talent needs, help managers forecast, develop and implement the plan for growing or acquiring needed talent, using data and metrics to guide planning and execution.

·Facilitate Change – provide a robust and participative approach to change.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.

  • PHR/ SPHR/ SHRM-SCP certified is strongly preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience working in a manufacturing environment in California is required.

  • The ability to solve problems utilizing a data driven, unbiased approach.

  • Proven success working with senior leaders in a manufacturing environment.

  • The ideal candidate will have managed projects, org design and succession planning.

  • Adapts to change in a culture that expects collaboration as well as speed in execution.

  • Adept at unbiased coaching, advising, and influencing leaders on HR related issues, implementing appropriate solutions.

  • A strong employee relations background and knowledge of local, state and federal labor laws including California employment law is required.

  • Workday experience a plus.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

  • Outstanding verbal, written and presentation communication skills.

  • Effectively balance employee advocacy with business needs in compliance with Company polices and applicable employment laws.

  • Relationship management and demonstrated ability to establish trust and credibility with designated employee group(s).

  • Maintains highest level of integrity, ethics and confidentiality.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and projects.

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to project manage within a larger Americas HR organization.

  • Enables and embodies intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to grow professionally, expanding HR professional toolkit.

  • Data-driven, analytical mindset with a focus on solutions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment.

The expected salary range for this position is $125,000-140,000 yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
