This role requires maintaining a safe and sterile environment while ensuring the surgical team is fully prepared for operations. Overview:

Up to $5K Sign On Bonus
Compensation / Benefits
$19.56-$31.94/hr. depending on previous work experience.
Evening differential $2.00/hr.
Night differential $2.50/hr.
Weekend differential $2.50/hr.
Sign On Bonus paid over 1 year.

We have 2 operating rooms, one traditional operating room and one hybrid operating room, for cardiothoracic and vascular cases located in the HealthPlex tower at Norman Regional Hospital. Norman Regional Hospital currently houses the largest hybrid operating room in the state of Oklahoma. Our nurses demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, autonomy, and critical thinking skills while caring for a wide range of patient types. We orient new nurses to each of our surgical areas, spending time with dedicated preceptors in each area. Upon completion of orientation, nurses will be able to circulate cardiothoracic and vascular cases as well as a wide variety of other service lines. Responsibilities:

Assists the surgeon during the operative procedure.
Maintains a safe and aseptic environment in the Operating Room area.
Qualifications:

Education
Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program, achieved national certification in surgical technology, or five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech.
Experience
Must have completed accredited Surgical Technology program, or must have five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech or LPN with one (1) year surgical tech preferred.
National Certification is highly preferred.
(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).

Licensure / Certification
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.
If Certified Surgical Technologist must have current certification.
Currently Oklahoma LPN license required if applicable.
