Experience: At least 1 year of CT experience
License: New York State License (L.R.T)
Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography and CT, BLS certification
Must-Have: Graduate of Radiologic Technology Program, English proficiency (Speak, Read, Write)

Job Description:

- Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images.
- Perform daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure proper calibration and function.
- Administer radioactive material to patients as per physician's orders and prescribed protocols.
- Comply with department documentation policies by maintaining logs, manuals, charge documents, and reporting equipment issues.
- Conduct quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests, following radiation safety guidelines to uphold the ALARA principle.
- Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
- Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use.
- Receive and verify radiopharmaceuticals upon delivery, ensuring proper receipt per established policies and procedures and verifying activity level before administration.
- Perform CT procedures according to prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy.
- Exercise appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after visits in the Radiology department.
