We are seeking board-certified or board-eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians with previous Hospitalist experience to provide locum tenens coverage at facilities in Roanoke, Richmond, and Fredericksburg, VA.
Provider Responsibilities:
• See 16-22 patients per day
• Manage 7-12 admits per night (depending on the facility)
• Work various shift times, including days, swings, and nights
• Provide care in ICUs without performing procedures
• Receive backup from strong sub-specialties as needed
Requirements:
• Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke certification
• Active and unrestricted VA state medical license
• Commitment to working at least 6 shifts per month
Benefits:
• Paid malpractice insurance
• Coverage of housing and travel expenses
• Competitive hourly rate ($170-$185/hr) depending on shift time and experience
