We are a talented, motivated and supportive team with offices in the US, Germany and Malaysia We are expanding our global footprint and seeking an Applications Engineer for our office in Dallas, Texas. This role focuses on pre- and post-sales activities among our growing base of Aerospace, Aviation and Wind-turbine blade customers in the Americas. If the role and requirements describe you and your interest, then we look forward to hearing from you Tasks Some Daily Responsibilities Ensure successful long-term deployment and integration of our tools into customer workflows. Act as a technical liaison between customers and internal product teams to support 8tree’s hardware and software development lifecycle. Provide technical support & system level troubleshooting/debugging to existing customers. Get involved in a variety of engineering activities that fuel the customer experience, including testing and new feature definition. Assist Business Development team with pre-sales activities, e.g. customer demos and trade shows. Cultivate strong relationships with technical counterparts at the customer. Your verbal and written communication demonstrates a strong command of the English language, which empowers you to describe technical topics so that they are easily understood. You approach every situation with an engineering mindset – technical depth, analytical thinking, attention to detail and the initiative to anticipate & solve problems Requirements Must-have Requirements US citizenship required – no exceptions. In-office position (not remote) – no exceptions. Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering (preferably aerospace, electrical, mechanical) or related discipline 2-5 years in customer-facing technical role Robust hardware & software debugging skills to resolve technical issues Strong computer skills and experience with engineering applications Willingness to travel up to ~50% Nice-to-have Requirements Experience with 3D metrology, NDT, or quality inspection systems Experience in quality engineering for Aviation-MRO / Aerospace / Wind-Turbine / Automotive industries Benefits Competitive salary, tenure-based paid time off (PTO) and industry-leading health plan benefits & excellent retirement plan with employer match.
