The Wisconsin DNR is hiring an LTE (Limited Term Employee) - Hydrogeologist at our Central Headquarters, in Madison, WI.

**Position Summary**:
10% Report Reviews. Review incoming well construction and well filling and sealing reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with NR 812. Follow-up with drillers and pump installers as needed to obtain complete information. Manage and update data in program data systems according to standard operating procedures.

**Salary Information**:
This position pays $22.13 per hour and is in pay schedule and range 15-04. Compensation will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan.

**Job Details**:
**Limited Term Employment**: This is a Limited Term Employment (LTE) position. LTE positions do not automatically lead to permanent state employment or enjoy the same benefits as permanent employees; however, these positions do offer valuable work experience and an opportunity to learn more about career opportunities with the Department of Natural Resources and the State of Wisconsin.

LTE employees are limited to working 1039 hours per position within a twelve-month period.

**Residency Requirement**: In order to be considered for this position, you must be a resident of the State of Wisconsin.

**Qualifications**:
**Required Qualifications**:
1. Training and/or experience in a scientific field such as biology, chemistry, hydrology, geology or hydrogeology

**Preferred Qualifications**:
5. Associate's degree or higher in a scientific field such as Biology, Chemistry, Hydrology, Geology or Hydrogeology.
6. Experience working in a natural resources business environment or government agency.
