The Office of Illinois Governor, JB Pritzker is seeking an Operations Associate to join the Chicago office.
Working closely with the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, Human Resources team and the Fiscal team, completes various administrative assignments throughout the year. The Operations Associate reports directly to the Deputy Chief of Staff of Operations. This role is focused on the daily, reoccurring tasks that are required to keep the office operations running smoothly.
- Possesses 1-2+ years of administrative experience in a government space
- Has experience working with Microsoft Office, technology management, and has proven examples of completing tasks that require a high attention to detail
- Is a highly organized individual and is able to prioritize their time
- Has a passion for public service and an aspiration to improve systems and processes
- Is an effective communicator, willing to assist office staff with issues as they may arise
**Essential Job Functions**
- Maintains the Office’s technology inventory ensuring all items are in the correct locations.
- Assists office employees with technology by troubleshooting simple problems in coordination with the State’s Dept. of Innovation and Technology (DoIT).
- Responsible for ensuring the tech risk assessment procedures are being followed.
- Coordinates with other agencies to ensure Governor’s Office administrative needs are met.
- Completes all new employee operational onboarding and offboarding procedures (completes web forms, assigns/collects technology, sets up workstations, orders name tags and IDs, ect.).
- Assists fiscal and human resources teams with assignments as needed.
- Assists the Special Projects Coordinator with various tasks for the office’s larger projects.
- Assists with State Fair tasks, including being on-site for setup and tear down.
- Prepares out of state travel requests including setting up temporary travel devices.
- Maintains the Office’s telephone directory.
- Makes requests to update the Office’s webpages.
- Reports monthly and annual office headcount.
- Assists Fiscal team with physical inventory needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
*Occasional travel as well as night and weekend work may be required.
Application Process
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
