**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where young children can learn and grow. Your role will involve implementing age-appropriate curriculum, fostering social and emotional development, and promoting a love for learning.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
The Lead Preschool Teacher will be responsible for creating a classroom environment that meets the individuals:

- Educational needs.
- Interests.
- Social abilities.
- Emotional requirements.
- Cognitive skills.

**Duties and Tasks**:

- Plans curriculum weekly; provides Director with lesson plans.
- Meets and assists assigned classes.
- Maintains a classroom that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity of the preschoolers.
- Sets and maintains standards of classroom behavior appropriate to preschool age children.
- Guides the learning process through the use of established clear objective outlined by the guidelines for developmentally appropriate practices and the Arizona Early Childhood Learning Standards.
- Employs a variety of instructional techniques consistent with the needs and capabilities of the individual and groups involved.
- Implements, through instruction and examples the RMUMC Preschool’s philosophy of education.
- Assesses the abilities and needs of preschooler on a regular basis and provides student assessments as required.
- Involves parents in their child’s preschool experiences.
- Works with instructional assistant, enrichment teachers and volunteers.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Knowledge of applicable state and city statutes.
- Knowledge of applicable RMUMC Preschools policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of effective instructional strategies for preschool-age children.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with co-workers, students, parents, the general public and others having business with The Preschool.
- May be required to lift and carry heavy, bulky supplies, or materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- May be required to lift students.

**Education and Training**:

- Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related degree.
- Consider an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education with related experience.

**Work Experience**:

- Prefer three years teaching experience with children 3-6 year olds.
- Consider any equivalent combination of experience and education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

**Background and Certifications**:

- Maintains licensing requirements through the Arizona Department of Health services.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Arizona driver’s license or a state issued ID card.
- Must possess a valid fingerprint clearance card.
- Must possess current CPR certification.
- Must have a Mantoux TB test prior to the start of school.
- Must pass annual background investigation.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Ability to Relocate:

- Mesa, AZ 85215: Relocate before starting work (required)
