**Job Description**:
Microchip is looking for a Logistics Supervisor to join the team in Lowell, MA The Logistics Supervisor will plan, organize, supervise, and participate in the operations and activities of the MCHP Lowell warehouse and train, assign duties and evaluate assigned staff.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Plan, organize, supervise and participate in daily warehouse activities, including the receipt, documentation, storage and distribution of supplies and maintenance of inventory.
- Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse employees; assign workloads to material handlers.
- Receive, unpack, issue, store and deliver materials and complete packing slips for shipments to customers or vendors.
- Prepare and maintain records and backlogs and prepare reports as required.
- Learn the Microchip systems: BaaN, AX2009, AX2012, LN, SA tool, etc.
- Observe health and safety regulations; maintain warehouse in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
- Assist management in establishing warehouse standards and procedures; advise of budget-related needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular attendance.

Requirements/Qualifications:
Experience In:

- Warehousing and stock control methods and procedures.
- Methods of receiving, inspecting and issuing materials.
- Operation of a forklift
- Space utilization and inventory techniques.
- Proper methods of storing materials and supplies.
- Record-keeping techniques.
- Inventory methods and practices.
- Principles and practices of training and providing work direction.
- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.

Ability To:

- Plan, organize, supervise and participate in the operations and activities of the Warehouse.
- Train, supervise and evaluate personnel.
- Utilize space efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain inventory.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Operate warehouse equipment.
- Receive, issue, store and return warehouse stock and supplies.
- Lift, move, sort and store objects.
- Plan and schedule work.
- Maintain accurate records of stock transactions.
- Operate a computer terminal and warehouse-related software.
- Work independently with little direction.
- Observe health and safety regulations.

**Education**:

- High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate and three years warehouse or related experience.
- Dangerous goods certification

This position is not eligible for Microchip immigration sponsorship.
