The Global Intelligence Division, within MITRE’s Intelligence Center, is seeking a Sr. Principal Lead for its Counter-PRC Cell (CPC). This individual will guide the CPC through its second year and build on the success of the launch in 2023.

We are looking for a strong leader who is innovative, strategic, and collaborative. The Lead, Counter-PRC Cell will be continuing the growth of the program while taking it to the next level of maturity. The CPC guides the Intelligence Center work that counters the PRC threat and collaborates across MITRE to bring the best solutions to our sponsors. The CPC works closely with the Center for Policy and Strategic Competition as well as the Cross-Cutting Priorities in MNS and maintains reach into the work programs of the Intelligence Center. The CPC is a resource for all of MITRE, providing speakers, connections to China SMEs, and a Cultural Competency Team that offers sociolinguistic expertise to projects across the company. As an incubator for China-oriented IRAD, the CPC provides funding for small internal projects to include technical tools, white papers, and exercises and games.

The Lead, Counter-PRC Cell, will lead an active community of China watchers at MITRE who tackle the hard problems presented by the CPC. She or he will also be responsible for soliciting annual proposals for internal funding, evaluating the proposals and awarding funding, and tracking and ensuring the progress of the projects throughout the year. The lead will be expected to engage in regular outreach to sponsors to promote MITRE’s efforts in the China mission space and to collaborate closely with the work programs in the Intelligence Center to ensure awareness of the CPC’s capabilities. The lead will be called upon regularly to speak at MITRE leadership and sponsor events to share the CPC’s progress and will be responsible for maintaining promotional materials and briefing decks to share with sponsors and internal MITRE customers.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Lead an active community of China watchers.
- Make strong and fruitful connections across MITRE with others engaged in work on strategic competition.
- Serve as a thought leader within the Intelligence Center and across MITRE on the challenges posed by the PRC.
- Manage an overhead and internal research budget effectively to ensure spending is optimized and helps address the needs of our sponsors.
- Engage in outreach with sponsors and internally to MITRE to create awareness of the CPC’s capabilities.
- Represent MITRE and the Intelligence Center at speaking engagements and conferences on the PRC threat.
- Communicate regularly with the Intelligence Center senior leadership team.
- Support requests to respond to sponsor interest on the CPC’s capabilities.
- Develop and maintain informational materials about the CPC.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and senior stakeholders.

**Basic Qualifications**:

- He or she will have significant experience in the Intelligence Community as well as deep knowledge of the Intelligence Center work programs.
- Strong Communications skills and flexibility to respond to critical Senior Leadership requests.
- TS/SCI with Poly clearance
- This position requires a minimum of 4 days a week on-site.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- MS in International Affairs or requisite experience
- Extensive experience preparing and presenting papers or briefing on the PRC.
- Senior Leadership experience working for an Intelligence Community Agency
