**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the Senior Director of Alumni Relations, this individual will strategically plan, implement, staff, and execute events and programming outside of the New York City metro area that help foster a lasting experience for St. John’s graduates and a strong connection with their alma mater.

**Essential Functions**:

- Serve as the point person for all regional chapter activity
- Manage volunteer training program
- Work with existing chapters on events, communication, and fundraising
- Research new areas where a regional chapter might be viable, survey the alumni, and identify potential leaders
- Identify regional alumni to feature in communications (e-newsletter, magazine, etc.)
- In tandem with the Senior Director, establish and manage the regional budget and its use
- Assist in the assessment and evaluation of engagement initiatives, regional events, and priorities
- Assist in establishing an effective virtual presence through virtual programming and social media tools like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and future technology
- Manage the regional extension of Advancement initiatives like Johnnies Day, Giving Tuesday, and Giving Day
- Organize programming around the annual Volunteer Dinner
- Participate in aspects of department programming and operations (e.g. Homecoming, Reunion, and other events)
- Utilize alumni/donor database to record alumni volunteer engagement when applicable
- Additional duties as assigned

**Position Type/Expected Hours of Work**:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday - Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Friday 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. including some nights and weekends. Ability to work longer hours when required.
