Adjunct Vn Clinical Instructor

7:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Accept complete responsibility for students in the clinical facility
- Teach a course load as assigned, including preparation for and instruction of theory classes and clinical laboratory experience
- Plan and organize instruction in ways that maximize student learning
- Clarify daily clinical expectations with students during pre-conference, as well as student placement and expectations with clinical facility staff
- Make assignments that meet both clinical objectives and patient needs
- Direct students in data collection and integration into their clinical paperwork; provide resources to students to ensure critical thinking through the nursing process
- Coordinate daily plan with Clinical site to observe, instruct, and evaluate students
- Evaluate student progress and give feedback weekly; provide clear objectives for improvement as needed
- Provide immediate feedback of clinical performance following observation of skills

**Requirements**:

- Registered or Licensed Vocational Nurse - current active license in the state of California
- Functional abilities to carry out classroom, clinical and laboratory teaching responsibilities
- Competence in clinical skills in areas of teaching

**Education**:

- RN with A Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- LVN with AA or AS degree or a BA or BS with 2 years experience required (any type of degree)
