Love In the Name of Christ is looking for a Clearinghouse Assistant who will help our Clearinghouse Coordinator. Our clearinghouse or connection center is the foundation of our ministry. It is also the first opportunity we have to begin to listen to and care for people while exploring ways for churches to be helpful.
- Exhibit spiritual maturity, integrity, and a commitment to personal transformation that reflects his/her relationship with Jesus.
- A Christian, committed to Jesus and the Church's mandate to serve our neighbor-in-need as an agent of transformation.
- Affirmation of the Apostle's Creed and has a personal relationship with Jesus that is reflected in the ability to treat Neighbors and volunteers with dignity and respect.
- Inform the Clearinghouse Coordinator of Clearinghouse activities, challenges, and accomplishments.
- Support the onboarding, training, and development of Clearinghouse volunteers.
- Successfully implement the internal processes, form usage, modes of communication, and record-keeping systems.
- Effectively communicate with Neighbors, volunteers, ministry staff, churches, and community resources.
- Support the CH Coordinator in the recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers.
- Educate volunteers on the philosophy of Redemptive Compassion.
- Direct volunteers to conduct Clearinghouse processes in a professional, dignified, caring manner; taking time to hear stories, build relationships, understand needs, uncover deeper root causes, and offer prayer to others.
- Review information gathered through the intake; analyze to determine underlying issues; and determine appropriate resources to meet the Neighbor's needs.
- Assess the appropriateness of a Neighbor’s participation in the TM Program.
- Support the ongoing development, maintenance, and accuracy of the ministry resource directory.
- Represent Love INC SAW and promote the organization's vision, mission, and ministry accomplishments to area pastors, churches, and community organizations.
- Serve as the liaison between Neighbors, churches, and agencies offering services to our Neighbors.
- Nurture and grow relationships with local churches and appropriate community resources.
- Support the CH Coordinator with the onboarding, training, and development of all Clearinghouse volunteers.
- Support the CH Coordinator in providing personal and spiritual encouragement to the volunteers.
- Encourage an environment of prayer in the Clearinghouse.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
