- Location: Special Education Department
- Supervisor: Special Education Coordinators- Employment Period: 12 Months- Employment Status: Full-time- Pay Grade: H-10- 23-24 Hiring Range: $16.19-$21.31 /hour (grant-funded position)
- 24-25 Hiring Range: To be determined- Start date: Immediately**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Responsible for providing administrative clerical support to Special Education Coordinators and other identified special education staff.
- Performs a variety of administrative and/or clerical support functions for the operation of the department.
- Maintains and uses information in databases and maintains accurate records
- Works cooperatively, effectively and professionally with Director, Coordinators, Administrators, Parents/Guardians, and general public.
- Maintains confidentiality of student and program information.
- Possess physical dexterity to perform assigned tasks.
- Plans and arranges conferences/meetings under general guidance from coordinators or assigned staff.
- Prepares correspondence, reports or other documents from rough draft/notes; corrects grammar, spelling and punctuation errors; edits wording without changing intended message.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Models non-discriminatory practices in activities.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- Completion of high school diploma or equivalent. Some business school training or completion of two years of college, or any equivalent combination of experience and training is preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of standard office procedures, practices and equipment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must possess excellent typing and strong editing skills and have the ability to handle details accurately.
- Proficiency in Google Sites.
