Smooth Coast LLC is a company that specializes in sliding glass door repair and refurbishment and has been in business for over 13 years. From our four offices, Smooth Coast Technicians serve eastern central Florida. Actual work is completed on balconies, pool decks and porches at our customer's home or business. This is Florida, it is hot and humid most of the year.

The position available is for a full time Technician's Assistant who will usually report to our Ormond Beach office Monday through Friday by 8:15am. On certain occasions, you may need to report to one of our other offices (St. Augustine or Edgewater) depending upon the needs of the schedule. We do not have a specific “quitting” time as we must finish our work each day and those job complete times will vary. All days begin and end at a company office, all tools are provided.

This is a labor intensive job whose daily duties include:

- Morning routine at the office to prepare for the day.
- Supporting a Technician through job site set up, organizing, cleaning, job site break down and other support tasks as needed. Heavy lifting of glass panels is required.
- End of day routine at the office to restock, clean and prepare for the following day.
- Regular light cleaning of office and vehicles.

Pay starts at $17.00/hour and we do pay overtime.

As a retail service company we conduct our work inside our customer's homes and must remain professional in the way we speak and behave. This is a different environment for those coming from the boarder construction industry.

We have an in - house apprenticeship program allowing us to train and promote from within. This provides opportunities for advancement, promotion and significant pay increases making Smooth Coast a perfect place for those wanting long term and steady employment.

**Our commercial auto insurance policy requires that all employees have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.**
