**CALIBRATION TECHNICIAN III**

**SUMMARY**:
We are seeking a skilled individual to join our Calibration team, who is self-motivated and shares our core values and culture. Under general supervision, this position entails planning and performing calibration tasks in a cGMP manufacturing environment, scheduling repairs for analytical instruments, assist in the coordination and/or oversight of calibration vendors, troubleshooting and repair of malfunctioning instrumentation on solvent systems, utilities systems, and large-scale manufacturing skids, among other tasks.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Perform scheduled and on-demand calibration work on instruments and systems in a timely manner, ensuring all devices are calibrated according to standard operating procedures, applicable standards, guidelines, practices, and policies.
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs of moderately complex instrumentation on cGMP manufacturing skids, utilities systems, and analytical instruments with mínimal supervision.
- Maintain a safe work environment, following Ionis’ safety guidelines and using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Maintain assigned area of ownership within the facility to support inspection readiness and general facility upkeep for the support of clinical and commercial manufacturing.
- Timely completion of calibration work orders and other required tasks in the electronic Calibration and Maintenance System (Blue Mountain RAM).
- Initiate deviations related to calibration failures and provide support with investigations.
- Maintain all calibration records and equipment files in an orderly and accurate manner.
- Help manage equipment sent to vendors for calibration/repair and assist with scheduling repairs for analytical instruments including the oversight of vendors and contractors.
- Assist with the review of Calibration Procedures.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Demonstrated experience in calibration within the pharmaceutical or biotech sector, adhering to cGMP standards.
- High School diploma or equivalent educational attainment.
- Associate degree or technical certification in a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of calibration principles and techniques, including the calibration of Temperature, Humidity, Pressure, Electronic, Flow, Level, Speed, pH & Conductivity, Laboratory equipment among other manufacturing and utilities instrumentation such as: Temperature controlled Chambers, Autoclaves, Ovens, RO/DI Water systems, etc.
- Possess good understanding of safety guidelines within cGMP environments.
- Possess good written and oral communications skills.
- Possess problem-solving skills to troubleshoot instrument issues.
- Experience in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
