**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients for various laboratory tests you will perform in house. Besides phlebotomy, there are many other tasks that will provide you with great learning opportunities. If you have experience being in a clinical laboratory setting and providing exceptional patient care, we encourage you to apply.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens
- Verify patient information and ensure proper labeling of specimens
- Follow established protocols and safety guidelines to maintain aseptic conditions
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and test results
- Assist in the processing and analysis of specimens as needed
- Provide excellent customer service to patients during the phlebotomy process
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient specimen collection

**In addition to these tasks, responsibilities include**:

- Assisting with patient intake
- Setting up exam room for subsequent patient
- Daily lab quality control (training provided)
- Maintaining lab analyzer per manufacturer guidelines (training provided)
- Maintaining documentation per CLIA regulations (training provided)
- Assist office manager with administrative needs (training provided)

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program
- Certification as a Phlebotomist preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Proficient in venipuncture techniques and specimen collection processing
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
