Caregiver/personal Assistant

Caregivers enhance the lives of those who are unable to complete basic tasks, such as the elderly, mentally ill or those with disabilities. Caregivers assist them with mobility in their daily living activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, and other routine, personal care tasks.

other duties:

- Actively engage clients through conversation and companionship
- Engage with clients in a manner that promotes their independence and maintains their dignity
- Help with meal preparation, planning, and grocery shopping
- Perform light housekeeping duties
- Report any unusual incidents or behavior
- Medication Reminders
- Maintain a safe environment for clients
- Able to follow the patient's prescribed care plan.

Caregivers must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); Required to have a valid license and a registered vehicle and pass a background check. Current first aid certification; Ability to read and speak English; Pass a required TB test and physical exam; Ability to behave with respect and compassion; Possess a professional and upbeat attitude; and ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Caregiving: 1 year (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (preferred)
- Night Shift (preferred)
- Overnight Shift (preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

- Fall River, MA 02721: Relocate before starting work (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (preferred)

Work Location: In person
