**Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Work closely with individuals being released from Osceola County Jail who have Substance Use histories
- Assist with preparation for re-entry to the community
- Identify the clients' needs upon release and effectively connect them to vital resources, such as housing, job readiness, medical care, probation, transportation, Identification retrieval, counseling, various pathways to recovery, etc.
- Provide individual and group coaching sessions
- Develop and implement personalized recovery plans
- Offer support and guidance to clients facing challenges in their recovery journey
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients towards positive change
- Maintain electronic client charts
- Assist clients in accessing community resources and support systems
**Experience**:
- Must be in recovery from Substance Use Disorder, with two (2) or more years of uninterrupted recovery
- Mentoring individuals in recovery
- Knowledge of the Criminal Justice System
- Background in Behavioral Health or related field
- Computer software and data entry skills
- Appropriate ancillary services
- Pathways to Recovery
Joining our team as a Recovery Coach offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals seeking recovery. It is essential that you are currently involved in a recovery program such as AA, NA, CA, Smart Recovery, Medication Assisted Recovery, etc. But whatever program it is, you must be actively engaged with a sponsor or a mentor, working Steps, attending meetings weekly, pursuing a better way of life, visibly improving your life, and showing ongoing growth in your emotional and spiritual wellbeing. If you are passionate about helping others achieve wellness and possess the necessary skills and experience to navigate life issues successfully, we encourage you to apply.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
