Do you have a heart for helping people and love working with senior citizens? St. Joseph County Commission on Aging is currently seeking in home aides to assist seniors throughout St. Joseph County and specifically in the Sturgis and surrounding area with light housekeeping duties, grocery shopping, personal care tasks and respite care. Applicants must possess good customer service skills as well as an understanding of working with senior citizens. Experience with in home care and dementia care is preferred but not required. On the job training is provided. The COA is able to provide up to 29 hours a week plus paid travel time and mileage. As a county employee, you will receive a once yearly retention bonus as well as tuition reimbursement among other great benefits. Our aides are eligible for the direct care bonus on top of their hourly earnings as well

Applicants must be 18 years or older and able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check. This position is for all of St. Joseph County and flexible scheduling is available.
