Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Surgery Scheduler. As a Surgery Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures for our patients. This position requires strong administrative skills and knowledge of medical office procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Schedule surgical procedures and coordinate with patients, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals
- Obtain necessary patient information and medical records for scheduling purposes
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all scheduling information
- Communicate with patients regarding pre-operative instructions, including fasting requirements and medication guidelines
- Coordinate with insurance providers to obtain pre-authorization for surgical procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Utilize electronic scheduling systems to manage appointments and update patient records
- Collaborate with the medical office team to ensure smooth workflow and efficient scheduling processes
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing any questions or concerns related to their surgical appointments

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a medical office or similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and surgical procedures is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive patient information

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
