The Secondary Teacher works cooperatively with the Primary Teacher and assists in implementing Early Childhood Development learning experiences and activities.
- **TCC, CDA or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is preferred. **_

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in the implementation of daily lesson plans
- Knowledge of the curriculum and assessments
- Assist in setting up and organizing the classroom
- Help to create and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment for all children
- Assist in maintaining complete and concise records for each child
- Assist in implementing IEP’s for children with disabilities
- Complete daily attendance records, meals served, etc.
- Assist in the inventory of classroom materials and supplies, and store as directed
- Assist with visits to the homes of parents or guardians of children assigned to classroom
- Assist with making staff parent conferences.
- Encourage parent participation in special activities, etc.
- Assist with lunchroom and bus duties, as assigned.
- Assist with recruitment and enrollment.
- Assist with classroom clean-up, including bathroom.
- Perform other duties as directed.

**Minimum Requirements of the Position**
- TCC, CDA or Diploma in ECE from a technical school is preferred
- Must possess a valid first aid and CPR certification
- Must be a US citizen; have a Permanent Resident Card, or an alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-551)
- Must have and maintain a clean driving record (NOT TO EXCEED 6 PTS)
- Must have and maintain a criminal history absent of convictions for violent crimes or for any crime against children.

Pay: $13.83 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

- High school or equivalent (required)
