The technician inspects, prepares estimates, repairs and installs mechanical services including wipers, bulbs, air and cabin filters and oil changes. Calibrates and maintains mechanical equipment. Drives customer's vehicles in and out of the shop area and perform road tests.

In addition to the basic and advanced responsibilities of a GENERAL SERVICE TECHNICIAN, the Lube Technician position duties are:

- Meet or exceed Quick Service performance standards for quality & speed of service to our customers.
- Conduct vehicle inspections for mechanical services. Detect and note any conditions that would affect the safe operation of the vehicle and bring them to the attention of the service manager or store manager.
- Routinely inspects, maintains and makes necessary repairs and/or adjustments to machinery necessary for an efficient and safe work environment.
- Assumes a high level of responsibility for meeting all ASE and Chevrolet training.
- Assists in the installation, balancing and repair of tires as needed.
- Performs a road test to ensure that the work has been completed properly and fix right the first time.
- Follow all safety practices as outlined in policy and procedures.

**Job Requirements**:

- Minimum age requirement is 18 years
- Strong customer service skills and a high level of professional integrity
- Possession of valid in-state motor vehicle license
- Ability to work a flexible workweek including weekends
- A.S.E. Certification in brakes, steering and suspension systems, manual transmissions, and drive axles at time of hire is a plus. Ability to earn and/or maintain certifications after hire required.
- Experience in installation, balancing and repair of tires and performing alignments
- Possession of a complete set of mechanical hand tools, including metric sizes and all tools needed
- 1 year of experience as a lube tech or semi-skilled tech in an automotive dealership preferred
