Coord Hme Cent Intake

**Overview**:
Expected pay for this position is $19.81/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

This job is located in Peoria,IL.

***: The HME Centralized Intake Coordinator collaborates and communicates with referral sources, patients, and other health care providers to ensure the patient and caregiver have the resources in their home securing their durable medical equipment needs. This role functions as the front end of the reveneue cycle capturing all demographic and referral information preparing the medical record for billing and clinical documetnation. The Coordinator will serve as a dedicated escalation point for multiple functional areas and determine the appropriate outside resources that are required to support escalation. This position has a significant understanding of the revenue cycle and the importance of evaluating and securing all appropriate financial resources for patients to maximize reimbursement to OSF.

**Qualifications**:
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**: Education: High School/GED Experience: 1 year experience in customer service 6 months experience in HME Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**: Education: Associates Degree Experience: 1 year home medical equipment experience Prior experience working with health care government and accrediting agency body guidelines. Other Skills/Knowledge: Knowledge of federal and state laws that pertain to HME
