Mt. Calvary Lutheran School is seeking a Full Time Building Substitute to join our team The role will work with students in a variety of grade levels and will both assist Teachers as well as have the opportunity to lead their own classroom as a Substitute Teacher. Responsibilities include:

- Effectively manage a classroom of students by keeping them on task and engaged
- Assumes all duties and responsibilities of the absent teacher
- Follow lesson plans left by the regular classroom teacher
- Supervise and ensure safety of students during classroom hours
- Maintain a positive learning environment
- Leave feedback and notes for the regular classroom teacher
- Assist with non-classroom duties when assigned

JOB EXPECTATIONS
- Be scheduled on daily (Monday-Friday)
- Open to working in a different classroom each day
- Follow through with scheduled assignments
- Be flexible when asked to complete duties beyond original assignment
- Must model professional experience, attitude, and demeanor
- Must demonstrate an appreciation of diversity
- Maintain student and staff confidentiality

SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
- EDUCATION: Dependent on state; typically a minimum of an Bachelors Degree
- Must have ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language fluently and effectively.
- Must have ability to follow oral and written directions and have the ability to establish effective working relationships with staff and children.
