Essential Job Functions
- Determine liability and potential recovery from responsible parties
- Negotiate settlements with responsible parties and their insurers
- Communicate with insured parties, witnesses, and attorneys to gather necessary information for the claim investigation
- Prepare and present legal documents to facilitate the recovery process
- Maintain accurate records of all subrogation activities and provide regular status updates to management
- Ability to work independently as well as a team player

Skills/Knowledge
- In-depth understanding of subrogation claims investigation, including liability determination and recovery strategies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify potential claims and assess their validity
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills to secure favorable settlements with responsible parties and their insurers
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple claims simultaneously and maintain accurate records
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, including attorneys, clients, and insurance carriers
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations related to insurance claims and subrogation
- Field experience adjusting property damage claims and/or liability claims is a plus
- Experience writing property damage estimates
- Working knowledge of residential and commercial building mechanical systems, including but not limited to, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and roofing
- Prior knowledge and practical use of Xactimate or similar software preferred
- Working knowledge of ISO ClaimSearch is preferred
- Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Experience
- A minimum of one (1) year experience in homeowner’s property insurance
- Florida 5-20 Insurance License required, preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
