Rental Detailer

This role is primarily responsible for ensuring customers receive vehicles in quality condition for each rental. Includes cleaning rental vehicles and making them ready for delivery, performing basic visual inspections for check in & out, moving vehicles on the lot, and upkeep of the wash bays and staging area. May assist with off-site deliveries, errands, and other rental flow activities as directed by management.
- Must wear proper PPE when applicable (i.e. safety glasses, non-slip 6” boots, gloves)
- Clean vehicle exterior & interior by hand, brush and/or overhead pressure washer
- Determine need for service and notify appropriate personnel
- Perform basic maintenance checks & walk-around inspection (with electronic documentation)
- Help maintain accurate fleet inventory status in rental software system
- Determine need for maintenance and/or repairs, and notify appropriate personnel
- Move vehicles to/from Service, Quick Lane, and Collision departments
- Verify expiration of registration & plates, and all vehicles are properly identified with vinyl decals
- Responsible for laundering towels and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and tools
- Recommend process improvements, including tools for improved efficiency
- May assist with local vehicle deliveries
