**Retail Merchandise Sorter & Pricer**

Seeking a diligent and customer service-oriented team player for a part-time (14-20 hours) regular position.

The Jonnycake Center of Westerly has over 7,000 sq. ft. of treasures to explore and thousands of items moving on and off the sales floor each day. The Thrift Store was created to help fund our Food Pantry and Social Services Departments and provides a positive, respectful, and enjoyable work environment. Tasks will include the timely and efficient sorting of incoming merchandise, as well as evaluating and pricing items according to our guidelines.

**Required**:

- Drug free
- Monday availability and occasional Saturdays
- Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance with a history of tenacious reliability
- Ability to follow directions and work independently within parameters of instructions/duties
- Ability to communicate with staff, donors, and customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Ability to lift 10-20 pound loads repeatedly over the course of the day
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work cooperatively with others as part of a team
- Ability to remain flexible and positive in a rapidly-changing environment
- Smart decision-making skills
- Research skills
- Ability to pass a background check
- High School Diploma, GED, or comparable life experience

**Desired**:

- Background in retail, consignment or thrift store environments
- Familiarity with product brands, antiques, and/or estate items
