**Position Summary**

The Logistics Coordinator helps to manage customer orders and the outbound shipment of products to our end customers. The coordinator works closely with our Customer Relationship Managers, Manufacturing Supervisors, and the Shipping Department to ensure products are scheduled with the appropriate carrier and the shipping paperwork has been properly prepared for each shipment. Once a shipment has been made, the coordinator will convert the products to assemblies and relieve the inventory in our MRP system. As required, the person in this role will also help Quality and other departments to coordinate inbound shipments from customers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, an attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments and customers are essential skills for this position.

**Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities**
- Manage and schedule with outside carriers the shipment of all outbound domestic and international shipments to customers.
- Communicate and work with customer Logistics Departments to arrange some shipments using their preferred carrier.
- Prepare packing slips and bills of lading for all outbound shipments.
- Access assigned customer portals to download orders, provide shipping information, and update other pertinent information.
- As assigned, enter new customer purchase orders and schedules into MRP.
- Communicate changes to the schedule and provide open order reports to Manufacturing on a timely basis.
- Enter and maintain information in internal and external databases.
- Work with the Quality and Receiving Departments to coordinate approved returns for quality related issues.
- Schedule outbound and inbound shipments for Fabrication Department.
- Help to manage inbound shipments of customer products being returned to Kalow for storage or refurbishment.
- Confirm all scheduled trucks have made their pick-ups at the end of the day.
- Assist with the fulfillment and shipping for customer spare parts and small package shipments.
- Review & process packing slips / receivers as required.

**Job Requirements**

**Education**
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.

**Experience and Certifications**
- Minimum 3 years customer service or logistics experience with a manufacturing or distribution company.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word & Excel) and MRP/ERP.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external customers.
- Requires an above average attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Patient and able to address issues as they arise.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations would be helpful.
- Strong follow-up and commitment to completing tasks on time.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and mange time effectively.
- Positive attitude, team oriented, and a strong work ethic.
