MYHA, Inc. is a commercial glazing contractor with an 18,000 sf production facility located in South Chicago, serving the glass and glazing needs of customers throughout the Chicago area. Our portfolio consists primarily of commercial projects (with some residential projects) including storefronts, curtain walls, office partitions, glass railings, custom mirrors, shower doors, and almost any other project that calls for glass work. Our company has grown by providing high-quality results combined with exceptional project delivery. We are currently interviewing for full-time journey-level (Lead Installer) and apprentice-level (Installer/Laborer) glaziers. Applicants must have a valid/clean Illinois driver’s license with good hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and physical fitness.

**Job Overview (Apprentice / Installer / Laborer)**

Job Location: South Chicago-based production shop

Job duties will generally include using shop tools and personal safety equipment for glass handling, metal framing for storefronts and other glass systems, mirror installation, frameless shower door installation, and glass replacement. Specifically, you may be required to perform one or more of the following tasks:

- Load and arrange glass or mirrors onto delivery trucks, using suction cups or shop equipment to lift glass panels.
- Cut, assemble, fit, or attach metal-framed glass enclosures for showers, bathtubs, display cases, skylights, solariums, and other structures.
- Assist the Lead Installers with installation, fabrication, measurements, and receive/deliver shipments.
- Smooth surfaces with abrasive materials or tools. Fasten glass panes into wood sashes or frames with clips, points, or moldings, adding sealant.
- The full scope of work may include other tasks based on the needs of the business.

**Requirements**:

- Entry Level Position
- High School or Equivalent Education.
- Valid/Clean Illinois Driver’s License.
- Able to Pass a Drug Screen.
- Able to Lift Minimum of 60 Pounds.
- Frequent Bending, Stretching, and Lifting.
- Steel-Toe Boots and Construction Belt with Basic Tools.
- Ability to Use Customary Construction Tools.
- Ability to Follow Directions.
- Positive Can-Do Attitude.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
