Laser Operator

**What you will do**:
The Laser Operator is responsible for the manufacture of parts per plan specifications in an accurate and timely manner utilizing laser machine centers.
- Set up and operate laser machines.
- Work with other shifts on remaining work, issues, shift to shift notes, etc.
- Operate a forklift and PM checks.
- Perform maintenance and repairs of machines. Including: cleaning machines, cleaning dust collectors, and greasing.
- Meet with engineers to discuss potential machine problems.
- Work with programmers and engineers to optimize material runs.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot cut quality issues and adjust as necessary. For example, tape shot, focal position, nozzle change, tech table adjustment discussion with programmers and engineers.

**Work Environment**:
The employee works in a factory environment and is occasionally exposed to wet, humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals. He/she is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is loud.

**Requirements**:
**What knowledge/experience we are looking for**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years' relevant experience.
- Mathematical skills such as:

- Addition/Subtraction
- Multiplication/Division
- Geometric Algebraic calculations
- Basic computer knowledge
- Quality check experience
- Use of measuring tools

**Physical Demands**:
While performing the duties and responsibilities of this position, the employee is occasionally required to walk, use foot/feet to operate machine, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach above shoulders and move from place to place. The incumbent will regularly stand, sit, and talk and listen and will frequently use hands to finger, handle, or touch. Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.During the performance of his/her work duties, the incumbent will be required to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and will frequently lift up to 25 pounds such as moving parts from material storage and moving parts in and out of work area.
