We are seeking a **full-time** **Service Assistant I **at our Union Hospital - Cecil campus. This position will rotate through Patient Escort (transporting patients to/from patient care and clinical service areas as directed by dispatchers or schedulers), as well as assist in housekeeping and laundry departments.

**The work schedule for this position is 11:00pm-7:30am and includes working every other weekend and rotating holidays.**

**Education and experience requirements**:
Two years of customer service.

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

**Knowledge, skill, and ability requirements**:
Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.

Ability to read and write at a high school level.

Ability to understand and communicate.

Ability to maintain a high degree of personal hygiene.

Ability to maintain a courteous, service oriented helpful attitude throughout the workday.

Ability to work in a standing position and carry out normally assigned duties for the entire shift.

Ability to maintain confidentiality, especially regarding patients.

Ability to use PDA/Smart Phones for job assignments.
