**Responsibilities**
- Develop and deliver training programs for welders, focusing on various welding techniques, safety practices, and equipment operation.
- Assess the skill levels of trainees and provide customized training to meet individual needs and skill gaps.
- Conduct hands-on training sessions, demonstrations, and practical exercises to ensure trainees achieve proficiency in welding.
- Monitor and evaluate trainee progress, providing constructive feedback and additional training as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of welding technology, techniques, and industry standards.
- Ensure all training materials and methods comply with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the production team to understand specific welding requirements and incorporate them into training programs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the welding department.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, trainee progress, and certification statuses.

Provide support and guidance to welders on the production floor as needed.

**Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications in welding preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of welding experience, with a strong understanding of various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG).
- Previous experience as a welding instructor or trainer is highly desirable.
- NAVSEA welding experience is required.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong knowledge of welding safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to assess and adapt to different learning styles and skill levels
- Proficient in using welding equipment and tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
