EXHIBIT BUILDER

West Coast Exhibit is searching for professionals who want to work with major global brands. We are a full-service custom fabrication and trade show exhibit company with over 30 years of experience. West Coast designs, fabricates, and installs displays, kiosks, retail environments, trade show exhibits, exhibit tours, events, and much more.

**Description**:
The Exhibit Builder is responsible for assisting West Coast’s overall production needs by generating top quality exhibits and fixtures as specified and instructed by the Production Manager or Shop Supervisor.

You are passionate about the quality of your work, and a motivated team player. As a member of our superstar team, you are trusted by first rate clients to achieve quality finished products in a timely manner. You bring the following proficiencies to this role; capable to build reliable products without supervision based on instruction or technical drawings, capable to specify and request material or hardware, and can assist with local onsite installations when necessary.

**Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Mission**:
Fostering Teamwork:

- Seek opportunity to work as part of a collaborative team effort. You can help mentor less experienced peers but may turn to lead builders to develop skillsets regarding certain specialties or finishing touches.

Initiative:

- Maintain a clean and safe working environment and always use appropriate PPE when necessary.
- Be an active team player by seeking opportunity to productively contribute or participate in completing needed work.
- Communicate with the Manufacturing Manager or Shop Supervisor when a project goes off plan.
- Request help/assistance at the appropriate time to meet deadlines.
- Assist with local onsite installation.
- First in, last out type of position.

Manage Performance:

- Builds goods, products, and displays according to instructions and plans in the most time effective and material cost effective manner possible.
- Capable of recognizing the appropriate level of quality for “high-end, long-life” products as well as for “one-time use” products.
- Communicate proactively with management and/or team members to increase clarity of the project expectations and seek to resolve challenges that arise with a “can do” attitude.
- Ensure that parts and products meet quality standards by following established guidelines to measure, test, and inspect the product assembled.
- Transact daily activity on a timecard in accordance with West Coast’s timekeeping procedures.
- Provide Perform all other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school education and basic math skills required.
- 3-5 years’ experience as a Cabinet Maker or Finish Carpenter.
- Experience in one or more of the following is preferred; furniture fabrication, exhibits, displays, or events.
- Experience in one or more of the following is a plus; finishing, acrylic, fiberglass, solid surface, sound, lighting, low voltage wiring and electronics.

KNOWLEDGE
- Capable of reading blueprint/production drawings.

SKILLS
- Exercise good judgement in maintaining a safe work environment and be active member of the team in promoting safety.
- Capable of cutting and assembling products based on production drawings.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Effective written/oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated accurate record keeping capability.
- Basic computer skills.

ABILITIES
- Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and respond appropriately to constant change in priorities and services as necessary.
- Willingness to mentor and be mentored.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocol.
- Ability to safely handle hand tools, power tools, (i.e. table saw, drills, sanders, nail guns, etc.), pallet jack and/or hand truck.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS
- None required.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Move about a manufacturing environment, standing for long periods of time, and performance of repetitive tasks.
- Motor coordinator skills.
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds.

TRAVEL REQUIRED:

- 10% travel required for local onsite installations.

ADDITIONAL:
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Expected hours: 8 per week, plus some overtime during peak season.

Ability to Relocate:

- Anaheim, CA: Relocate before starting work (required)
