Inventory Coordinator

House of Spices is a deeply rooted brand within the food industry, leading the specialty food and ingredient category for over 40 years. Fast-forward from its start as a homegrown family business, House of Spices has become a middle-market wholesale/manufacturer which includes multiple distribution networks across the country. Although the business has and continues to expand rapidly, the brand is still family-owned and home-based out of the NYC metro area. Essential Functions
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels through regular stock checks and reconciliations.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and losses.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely and accurate order placement.
- Track and manage purchase orders, ensuring alignment with inventory requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve order-related issues and maintain positive relationships.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize stock levels.
- Generate and review reports on inventory performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions regarding inventory management.
- Utilize inventory management software to update and maintain inventory records.
- Ensure the accuracy of data entry and regularly update product information.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the inventory management system.
- Oversee the receiving and shipping processes to ensure accurate and timely handling of goods.
- Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Coordinate with warehouse and distribution teams to streamline processes.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including warehouse, procurement, and finance.
- Collaborate with team members to address and resolve inventory-related challenges.
- Analyzing inventory levels and building capacity, aged product, and return efficiency
- Provide regular updates on inventory status and performance.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory management or a related role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
