Human Resources Specialist

Acuity is seeking an experienced recruiter to join the Human Resources department as a Human Resources Specialist. Primary responsibilities include attracting and recruiting exempt and nonexempt employees using pro-active sourcing methods such as social media and direct calling while managing the full cycle recruiting process. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, partnering with department leaders to support talent needs and guide managers on the attraction, development, engagement and retention of key talent.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and implement long-term staffing strategy for most positions.
- Develop recruiting sources.
- Communicate position expectations and employee benefit information.
- Represent Acuity professionally at Career Fairs and College/University events.
- Extend offers of employment.
- Balance needs of multiple requisitions and hiring managers simultaneously.
- Conduct orientation.
- Partner, both proactively and by request, with stakeholders to support company needs and expectations. Execution includes:
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Judgement and decision-making abilities.
- Sound project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and on a team.
- Taking initiative while avoiding passive fear.
- Meeting deadlines while working under pressure.

- Prepare and maintain employment and applicant records.
- Adhere to company policies and practices.
- Comply with all state and federal regulations in all aspects of human resources management.
- Maintain reports of individual and department activity and results.
- Use care with confidential information with the highest integrity.
- Protect employee’s private information.
- Monitor expenses to budget.
- Represent Acuity in a professional manner.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree or extensive direct experience.
Relevant certifications such as SHRM-CP, PHR, PRC or similar designations helpful.
EXPERIENCE:
Three (3) or more years of Talent Acquisition experience.
