- This serving position with our hospitality team earns a competitive wage of $16/hour, plus an average of 20% gratuity (approx $200 to $300 per 4 to 5 hour shift).

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FOOD SERVER
- At least 21 years old
- Minimum 5 to 7 years experience as an upscale or polished-casual restaurant food server and or bartender. Comfortable selling high end craft beer, fine wines (For Bar position, efficiently pouring classic/craft cocktail that adhere to Brew Kitchen quality standards & house recipe pour counts).
- California food handler's certification
- Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic math skills

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FOOD SERVER
As a Food Server with our hospitality team, you play an essential role interacting with the general public. You master the product mix and utilize our menus to accommodate the wants & needs of the guest. You communicate, navigate & choreograph the guests dining experience through your knowledge of food & beverage.
You monitor the cleanliness of our restaurant and make sure that everything is well stocked, properly sanitized and organized for the safety of both customers and employees. As needed, you chop up garnishes such as lemon and parsley as well as make condiments. You then make sure all items are properly stored and dated.
To maintain a proper dining experience, you take orders in an expedient manner, then deliver items in an acceptable time frame. You refill drinks, replenish utensils, remove courses, and offer desserts. You make sure that silverware and glassware remain well-stocked and polished throughout your shift, for customer use. When serving wine or champagne, you use proper wine etiquette and the correct tools to open bottles.
In addition, Once guests are finished with their meal, you present the check and collect payment. You follow proper cash handling and credit policies, issue receipts, and return the correct change.
You always make sure to complete the server checkout and all closing reports before leaving the restaurant at the end of your shift. Whether you're assisting with special events or filling in for an absent staff member, you're always up for any task that comes your way.
