**Position Summary**

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Associate to join our team dedicated to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of cash through our organization by processing invoices, payments, and customer receipts. This position requires a strong understanding of both AP and AR functions and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

Accounts Payable:

- Process vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure timely payments to vendors according to established terms.
- Maintain vendor records and update contact information.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Track and manage accounts payable aging reports.

Accounts Receivable:

- Issue invoices to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
- Process customer payments and deposits.
- Manage customer accounts and track outstanding balances.
- Send collection notices and follow up on overdue accounts (depending on company policy).
- Reconcile bank statements and deposit records related to AR.
- Analyze customer payment trends and generate AR aging reports.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Associate degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounts payable and/or receivable role.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
- Strong math and accounting skills with high degree of accuracy
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information and ensure confidentiality in every aspect of role.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Physical Work Environment**
- Work is generally conducted in a general office environment, with normal noise and physical requirements associated with the use of business equipment such as photocopiers, telephones, computers, fax machines, and minor electronics.
- Position requires little physical effort, but incumbent must be able to sit for extended periods, attend meetings, maintain mental focus when performing data collection, analysis, assessment, problem-solving aspects of the position.
- Must be able to speak and hear, and to communicate frequently in multiple modalities.
- Must have visual acuity to identify, observe, and/or assess.
- Must be able to use basic math functions and perform standard business calculations.
- Must have manual dexterity and functionality to use computers and other business equipment.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
