SRSTC opened in 2001 and houses Wisconsin's Sexually Violent Persons Program. The goal of the center is treating and teaching patients with a history of sexual aggression toward the goal of providing a safe return to the community. **Position Summary**:
SRSTC provides treatment services to approximately 210 adult male sexual offenders who have been civilly committed or who are awaiting commitment under Wis. Stat. Ch. 980. The institution also serves approximately 60 patients who are deemed not guilty by mental disease or defect, under Wis. Stat. Ch. 971.

As a Social Worker at SRSTC, you will provide social service consultations to patients admitted to SRSTC under Wis. Stats. Chap. 971 and 980. You will participate in multidisciplinary team assessments to determine the psychosocial needs of patients and to develop treatment goals and interventions for achieving those goals. This team is responsible for services including admission, assessment, treatment, psychoeducation, and case management services to patients, families, and significant others.

In addition, you may also provide individual or group psychotherapy, under supervision or independently depending on credentials.

**Salary Information**:
The starting salary is between $34.37 - $41.54 per hour ($71,400-$86,400 annually) or up to the appointment maximum at the time of the appointment. Starting pay is based on classification level and qualifications. A 12-month probationary period is required.

**Job Details**:
All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.

All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by SRSTC or medical personnel approved by the facility after their start date.

**Qualifications**:
Minimally qualified applicants will have:

- Licensure or eligible for licensure as a Clinical or Advanced Practice Social Worker in the State of Wisconsin.
- Eligible is defined as: you currently hold certification in another state and are eligible to obtain licensure in Wisconsin.
- Experience providing psychoeducation to patients, families, and significant others.

Well-qualified applicants will also have:

- Experience working in a secured setting (e.g., psychiatric hospital, correctional facility, treatment facility, etc.).
- Experience providing case management services such as treatment planning and release planning.
